Yellow-Naped Amazon
The Yellow-Naped Amazon (Amazona auropalliata) is a predominantly green parrot with a distinctive yellow patch on the nape. Known for expressive vocal behaviour, Amazons benefit from consistent handling routines, varied enrichment and attention to balanced nutrition. Seasonal changes can influence behaviour, so suitability depends on the individual bird and the keeper’s experience.
Both sexes offered; matching availability is confirmed individually. Newly hatched chicks require specialist care.

Daily care and preparation
Provide a secure, appropriately sized enclosure, safe perches, supervised activity and opportunities to forage and chew. Plan a species-appropriate diet with an avian professional, a reliable rest routine and access to veterinary care. Individual birds differ in temperament; talking, bonding and handling behaviour cannot be promised. Ask about the actual bird’s feeding history, routine and care requirements.
Male or female; adult, young, baby or newly hatched
We accept enquiries for both male and female birds and for adult, young, baby and newly hatched life stages. Select your preferences so the team can confirm the matching individual, exact age and current availability. Sex verification and documentation should be discussed before purchase. Newly hatched and unweaned chicks require specialist care and are not suitable for inexperienced keepers. Age preferences are not a guarantee of immediate readiness for transfer.
Species-specific eggs
Eggs for this species are listed separately at $60 per egg. Ask about the actual egg’s laying date, handling and fertility assessment. Incubation requires appropriate equipment and experienced care; neither a hatch nor a chick’s sex is guaranteed. Legal requirements and transport suitability must be confirmed for your destination.
Before confirming your enquiry
Review the listed price and select your sex and age preferences. Contact our team for current photographs, individual background, provenance and any relevant documents. Payment, care and delivery arrangements are confirmed directly, rather than assumed from this listing.
