Eclectus Parrots

Eclectus parrots are notable for the visual difference between sexes: males are predominantly green, while females are mainly red with blue or purple areas. Choose a bird for its individual needs and your ability to provide consistent care, not colour alone.

Compare male and female preferences and adult, young, baby or newly hatched life stages. Discuss diet, feeding history and background before deciding. The green catalogue photograph illustrates a male, not every available bird. Eclectus eggs cost $60 per egg, and egg sex is not selectable.
